Event Wrap Up

Kathmandu Adventure Series
Royal National Park, NSW
Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th May, 2014

Adventure racing action returned to the Royal National Park with a capacity field of just under 800 adventure racers lining up on the start line, the competition was fast and furious. Teams canoed, ran, mountain biked, and kayaked around the 30+ km course in the stunning Royal National Park. Teams had the option of collecting time bonus checkpoints during different legs of the event adding to the strategy and challenge of the race.

Team Toucan (Paul Argerakis and Brad White) were the fastest male team over the two days smashing the course in 1 hour 43min (after bonuses). This brought an end to the reign of Team Belrose Bicycles (the Armstrong brothers) in the event, who came in second. Traces of Nuts (Luke & Melissa Nuttall) took out the mixed category in 1 hour 57 min and The Girls (Jody Mielke and Neroli Field) rounded out the overall category winners in 2 hours and 5mins. Check out where you placed compared to the front runners via the link below.

The series now moves to the Blue Mountains on 2nd & 3rd August. We look forward to catching up with you all there!
