Tough Bloke Challenge
Saturday 25th June 2016
Appin, Sydney, NSW

Are you ready for Australia’s first and best obstacle course race!

Held at Appin, just South of Sydney, this is a mud crawling, wall climbing, laugh a minute event of a lifetime. It is a 8km course featuring 25+ obstacles, it features all the goodies you want from an event like FREE event t-shirt & finishers medal, free parking, a free beer for the adults and HOT showers to wash the mud off afterwards! Sure the event is called the Tough Bloke Challenge but Tough Chicks and Tough Kids are welcome as well! Plus you don’t get punished with sit ups or the like if you skip an obstacle, this really is an event for the whole family, no matter your age or fitness level! No wonder the event is so popular with many waves nearly SOLD OUT! Make sure you act fast so you don’t miss out!

After you tackle the 25+ obstacles over the 8km course and are thinking about the free ice-cold beer waiting at the finishing line, the ultimate obstacle awaits…Hell’s Gate!!!

Hell’s Gate is a suspended rope traverse that will have your nerves jangling from the height, your arms twitching from the effort and your legs struggling to find purchase on the slippery wet rope. Many a Tough Bloke and Tough Chick have fallen victim to Hell’s Gate on their first, second or even 15th attempt but as per the spirit of the Tough Bloke Challenge they are encouraged to pick themselves up, dust themselves off and have another go! The celebrations as a Tough Bloke or Tough Chick finally conquer Hell’s Gate after multiple attempts is something to behold!

If you haven’t experienced the original, or are thinking of coming back for your second, third, or ninth time, now is the time to set you sights on Appin at the end of the month and…

Designed for corporate teams of eight and held around the country within a stone’s throw of the respective state capital it’s an day out like no other! Event Wrap Up

Paddy Pallin Adventure Series
Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd May 2016
Royal National Park, NSW

The biggest event of the year saw competitors battling it out across the Royal National Park. With both Classic and Novice courses on offer over the weekend there was something for everyone.

Classic teams rode from the top of the Honeymoon Track at Audley to Heathcote, where they swapped their bikes for runners and embarked on the challenging Karloo Track. This track led them to the beautiful Karloo Pool, a popular swimming and picnic spot and ‘whaleback’ rock outcrops, named after their resemblance to whales surfacing for air. Competitors then returned to their bikes to take on on some sweet single track back to Audley.

This event challenged both mind and body with 1hr 45mins of time credits available over 9 checkpoints. Teams had to work out whether it was worth their while to collect the additional checkpoints for the available time credit. Teams that were slower than the time credit on offer gave themselves a time penalty.

Racing was fast and furious with Team Toucan (Brad White and Paul Argaragias) smashing the course in 1hr 11mins after time credits. This knocked Belrose Bicycles (Chad Armstrong and Ryan Armstrong) into second place after many years of dominating the event.

The Novice race on Sunday did not disappoint with 40 teams lining up for their first taste of adventure racing action. Team We Aren’t Mates (Ben Anderson and Scott Youlten) flew through the course in 1hr 18mins, having picked up one bonus checkpoint on the way.
