Exciting News! In 2021 we have expanded this normally single day adventure race event to a multi day event across the entire weekend of 17^th-18^th July. That means there’s even more reason now for you to book a weekend away on the stunning Sunshine Coast in South East Queensland, racing in the hinterland and playing along the pristine beaches with your family or friends.

Proudly sponsored by Sunshine Coast Council, the flat course on offer at Wild Horse Mountain ensures some exciting fast-paced racing, while the plethora of trails through the forest means there’s plenty of time that can be gained (or lost) by smart route choices. Trail running, mountain biking and kayaking in your team of two is guaranteed to bring out the smiles, whether its your first adventure race or one of many.

Along with the normal Novice (beginner) and Classic course on offer on day one, we’re also offering an alternate Classic course and a small 8-14yrs Kids Course (involving navigation, biking and running) on day two. This means you can participate on one or both days, the choice is yours!

Coastal Classic Entries Selling Fast

Keen trail runners wishing to register for this years Coastal Classic – don’t delay, entries are already 50% SOLD OUT!

Don’t miss your chance to experience this popular trail run from Otford to Bundeena in Sydney, through the Royal National Park. With 30km of trail running along some of the most spectacular coastline in Australia, if not the world, it’s easy to see why this trail run is so popular.

Starting at Otford after a short climb the view appear, stretching South all the way to Wollongong and beyond, and this is only the start. The toughest part of the course is early on, the tracks through the Palm Jungle are narrow and runners need to watch their footing but you soon emerge out into the sunshine. Runners then are right alongside the ocean, skirting numerous beaches and inlets and passing through quiet hamlets of beach shacks. After the Aid Station at Garie Beach the views ramp up even more as runners head along the broad walk on the clifftops to Wattamolla Aid Station. Now is to time to up the speed and stretch out, across Marley Beach and the last two Aid Stations. The infamous Sandy Track awaits for the last couple of kilometres but the end is right there. A quick blast through Bundeena and the finish line hits. Sounds good doesn’t it?
