Maximum Adventure Race Series

It is only a few shorts weeks before the Maximum Adventure Race series hits the heart of Brisbane for some short, sharp and super fun adventure racing!

If you’ve always wanted to experience the unique challenge of adventure racing, this is the perfect opportunity. Equally for those experienced racers who haven’t raced this event, now is the perfect time to check it out.

Hosted from Enoggera Reservoir, a favourite playground for many locals, this event will have you trail running. mountain biking and kayaking in a scenic setting.

A scenic ‘Classic’ course sticking close to the edge of the reservoir is planned with multiple legs of trail running, mountain biking and kayaking to keep teams on their toes. The course includes some stunning views across the dam.

If you’re unsure if you are up to the full ‘Classic’ course, a ‘Novice’ course is also available with less distance to travel and less tricky navigation, perfect for those new to the sport.

Entries close on Wednesday 28th August so grab a team mate and get ready for an unreal adventure!

Bouddi Coastal Run

Entries are open for the popular Bouddi Coastal Run 2019!

If trail running is your passion and you are looking for a run with beautiful coastal views and a variety of terrain, this is the event for you. There are two course distances to choose from; 14km or 21km. But be quick as this event sold out early last year.

While you’re in the area check out The Lakes Festival, a 10 day event presented by the Central Coast Council. It features a program of sporting, family, cultural, educational, art and live music events on and around the areas beautiful waterways. The festival runs from 8th-17th November 2019. What a great excuse to extend your stay and make a holiday out of it!

Event Wrap Up

Raffertys Coastal Run
Saturday 13th July, 2019
Lake Macquarie, NSW

Trail runners descended on Lake Macquarie and Raffertys Resort for the 5th edition of Raffertys Coastal Run. Sunny but blustery conditions greeted the runners but that didn’t stop them smashing out some super quick times around the picturesque course. With stunning coastal views across Lake Macquarie and the Pacific Ocean, complete with whales and dolphins passing by, it had runners beaming from ear to ear as they tackled the course.

Thanks to Raffertys Resort for their tremendous support and for hosting the Start and Finish of the event. Also to sponsors ThermaTech and Tailwind for their continued support as well as to new event partner, National Breast Cancer Foundation, whom many of you supported through your generous online donations upon entry.

A big shout out as well to our incredible volunteers who were out in force at the event centre and on course at aid stations, cheering the runners on and adding to the atmosphere of the event.

Raffertys Coastal Run will be back in 2020 on Saturday 18th July with entries opening on the 2nd of March next year, so be sure to make a note in your calendar so you don’t miss out.
