Convict 100

Saturday 4th May, 2019
St Albans, NSW

In just over five months another strong field of riders will assemble to take on one of Australia’s favourite and longest running mountain bike marathons; The Convict 100. Will you be joining them in 2019?

Over the last 14 years, on the first weekend in May, some 18,000 riders have embraced the sleepy township of St. Albans in the Hawkesbury Valley. They’ve tackled trails built by hand, between 1826 and 1836, red lined up Jacks Track, rode across or swam next to the infamous kayak bridge, left skid marks on chamois’ down Blue Hill or The 8 Mile and finally road across the finish line to be greeted with a beer and a smile from a local firey.

Some made it back, others went home courtesy of a chopper or meat wagon. No groomed single track, no mountain bike parks, no lattes or shaved legs; just dirt in your nostrils and trails cut by nature or two centuries ago, by a cattle thief.

This is mountain biking in its purest form – we look forward to welcoming you to the 15th anniversary edition of the Convict 100.

Entries have only just opened with Early Bird pricing available for this month only.

So don’t delay – put down that latte sunshine and enter now!

Jabulani Challenge

Saturday 6th April, 2019
Ku-Ring-Gai Chase NP, NSW

Ahh, trail running, the joys of pitting yourself against the great outdoors, just you and a pair of shoes against the wilderness. Nothing quite compares to the feeling of flying along a trail, skipping over logs and rocks, flowing downhill like a stream, then attacking the uphills with gusto!

Now days there seems to be trail running events every weekend, so then the question is raised, which do we put our hard-earned cash into?

Well, we have the answer, the Jabulani Challenge of course, whether it be the 12km, 22km or 45km course you set your sights on.

Set in the weekend playground of thousands of locals in Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park, this is what trail running is all about. Consisting of a stunning course featuring some famous local trails like the Gibberagong and Warrimoo Track and running directly alongside the beautiful Cowan Creek then finishing at the historical Bobbin Head, this is where you want to be come early-April.

As a added bonus not only will your entry fee get you a trail running event of the highest order but you will also be contributing to a very worthy cause. The Stellenbosch Community Development Programme is a volunteer founded and run organisation that is committed to helping young disadvantaged children in South Africa. The Stellenbosch Community Development Programmeis a direct beneficiary of the Jabulani Challenge, which takes it’s name from the Zulu word for ‘Be Happy’ and that is something you will definitely be on the 6th of April at the Jabulani Challenge…HAPPY!
