Maximum Adventure Race Series

Saturday 29th May, 2021

Royal National Park, NSW

Get ready! The normally tranquil hamlet of Audley, Sydney will explode into action come May, as entries are now open for the second NSW leg of the 2021 Adventure Race series.

This popular race location in the historic Royal National Park offers adventurers a variety of terrain to keep the race interesting, some flowing single track mountain biking, serene flat water for kayaking and stunning views from the various locations on the course. All of these features add to the exhilaration you’re going to experience once you’re signed up and racing on Saturday 29th May.

For those that don’t know, adventure racing consists of four core elements; trail running, mountain biking, kayaking and navigation. Teams of two people complete all legs of the race together, all the while navigating their way from checkpoint to checkpoint and racing back to the finish. One minute you could be running off the start line and the next you’re on a mountain bike careering through the national park. These races are a whole lot of fun!

The event features both the Classic course (longer and for the more experienced adventure racer) as well as the Novice course (shorter and with less technical route choice) for newcomers to the sport. This sprint-distance adventure race will take teams between two to six hours to complete but trust us, you’ll never have time to be bored and you’ll constantly be challenged both physically and mentally!

As far as gear goes, we’ll supply the kayaks, paddles and personal flotation devices (PFD’s) and it’s included in your entry fee. Teams will need to supply their own mountain bikes but if you’re yet to invest in one, they’re available for hire through our preferred supplier (click HERE for equipment and supplier details).

So what’s there to lose? Grab yourself a team mate and sign up for a real adventure in the bush before entries sell out (like our February adventure race did)!
