The Urban turns 10!

Kathmandu Urban – Sydney CBD
Saturday 22nd November 2014

Have you registered yet to secure your place at the Kathmandu Urban’s 10th Birthday edition?

The Urban is now just around the corner and the team here at Max Adventure are beavering away putting the finishing touches on the course!

Don’t forget to bring the kids along; the checkpoints have been designed so that all kids registered can complete them. As an extra special reward for the ankle biters, we have put together a goodie bag that they will receive as they cross the finish line.

Adults wanting a special reward? Recycle your costume from Halloween and wear it to the Urban, we have some prizes to give away.

While the Urban isn’t an ironman or a marathon, we suggest putting in a little preparation, from picking your team mate, organising your phone a friend, researching Sydney and public transport links, all will help in preparing your mind and body for the day. Checkout our Tips HERE

Want to know one of the clues before everyone else? Want to be able to skip ANY checkpoint? Or do you want to be able to race for FREE. Our charity partner Good Beginnings Australia have a number of fund raising options available to save teams precious time. Check it out HERE. The team at Good Beginnings Australia believe in giving every child the best start and the vital funds raised go directly to Good Beginnings and the fantastic programs they run.

Adventure racers head back to the Rock!

Kathmandu Adventure Series – Glenrock, NSW
Saturday 14th February 2015
Sunday 15th February 2015

After missing out in 2014 the Glenrock State Conversation Area just south of Newcastle is back hosting an adventure race in 2015!

This classic venue offers something for everyone with a brilliant coastal location easily accessible from Sydney, Newcastle and the Central Coast. The areas features some fast flowing single track mountain biking that is perfect for novices and experienced racers alike as well as the thrill of paddling on the mighty Pacific Ocean.

However the real attraction of the Glenrock venue is the coasteering. Coasteering is scrambling across and over rock platforms  with the occasional short swimming detour across rock pools. The coasteering legs have proved a favourite every time this venue has been used and the crew at Maximum Adventure are excited to make this a real highlight once again!

Entries are now open and with the additional thrill of coasteering on top of the usual fare of mountain biking, running and kayaking what more of a reason do you need to drop everything, grab a team mate, set yourself a summer training goal and enter.

A new challenge is here!

Jabulani Challenge – Bobbin Head, Sydney
Saturday 18th April 2015

Maximum Adventure are excited to announce we are adding another fantastic trail running event to our calendar. With a fresh new look the Jabulani Challenge returns on April 18th 2015.
The Jabulani Challenge is a well established trail running event in the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. Also renowned for its fundraising to support the Stellenbosch Community Development Programme helping disadvantaged children in Africa.

Predominantly on single track the trail has everything to offer from waterside tracks, rainforest bushland, steep hill inclines and creek crossings. Exploring some of the hidden waterways that Pittwater is famous for – its hard to believe you are only 30 minutes from the heart of Sydney.

With three distances to choose from the event caters for hardened trail runners to social walkers. The start and finish is at Bobbin Head, making it logistically easy, but more
importantly a great spot on the edge of the Pittwater for a family day out.

Entries open on Monday 10th November – Next week!!
