It is almost here, the Tough Bloke Challenge 2015 is at the end of the month. A few shorts weeks before you will be asked “Are you Tough Enough?”

So that’s the question! Have you trained? Are you ready mentally? Have you got your costume? Have you even signed up yet?

If you haven’t signed up yet then stop being a fool and enter! Hurry as the event is less than 4 weeks away and spots are filling up fast so this means the price is also going up. So no time to waste, grab your partner, a friend, and bunch of friends or come and race solo but don’t leave it too late as you might miss out altogether!

Don’t forget you can “Run for Free” by raising only $250 for Camp Quality. These guys do some amazing work with kids and families living with cancer. A great opportunity to support them and have fun at the same time. Find out more HERE

Challenge Your Boss!

Great Adventure Challenge
WA – 25th July 2015
QLD – 10th October 2015
NSW – 24th October 2015
VIC – 14th November 2015

The Great Adventure Challenge is Australia’s leading corporate team building event, pitching Australia’s top companies head to head in an exciting, demanding and fun, team based adventure race. It covers a range of activities from mountain biking, trail running, kayaking and coasteering, teams are also confronted with mystery tasks, to test the boundaries of both brain and body.

With entries flying in, the WA event is over 70% full. This year is expected to be the biggest yet with events in QLD, NSW, VIC and WA. Relay teams will push themselves to the limit navigating over a 70km+ course by foot, kayak and bike within a couple of hours of the state capital.

Well known companies such as KPMG, Ferrier Hodgson, Foxtel, Nestle and PWC are already rising to the challenge to bring smiles to seriously ill children by raising vital funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

New Format, Same Great Challenge

Paddy Pallin Urban, Sydney CBD
Saturday, 7th November 2015

After 10 successful years with the same format, we thought we would spice things up and introduce a new race format for the Paddy Pallin Urban this year.

For the first time there will be no set number of checkpoints to collect! All checkpoints will be allocated a certain number of points which means it is even easier to pick and choose which checkpoints you do to help guarantee you racing around the city with a smile on your dial. Winners will be determined by the team that has collected the most points in the least amount of time. This allows you to determine your own route and the quickest way to reach all the checkpoints. This is one of the highlights of the event every year, checking out the different routes and order teams tackle the course. It is a format which really encourages a smart race strategy so line up a team mate and…

Event Wrap Up

Paddy Pallin Adventure Series
Royal National Park, NSW
Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th May, 2015

The wet course didn’t dampen the spirits of nearly 500 adventure racers who participated in the Paddy Pallin Adventure Race at the Royal National Park over the weekend of the 23rd & 24th of May. Competitors were challenged to a 35km+ course using foot, bike and kayaks to collect checkpoints and complete the course as quickly as possible.

For nearly 50% of the participants this was their first adventure race. With the stunning scenery on offer at the Royal National Park, they had a ball.

At the pointy end of the field the top teams had to contend with a bonus running leg that required them to collect additional checkpoints. This only slowed them down a little as they took it in their stride.

The fastest male team over the weekend was Venga Boys (Michel Haenggi and Marty Keyes) in 02hrs 2min. The fastest mixed team was local team Bushies (Jenny Henville and Jonathan McKenzie-Hicks) in 02hrs 28 min. With another local team winning the female category, Sue and Jodes (Sue Thompson and Jody Mielke) in 03hrs 3min.

The next event in the series is at the Lower Blue Mountains (Glenbrook) on Saturday 17th October.
