Maximum Adventure Race Series

Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th September, 2021

Glenbrook, Blue Mountains NSW

Are you ready to take on the most adventurous course in the Maximum Adventure Race Series in 2021?

If so, now is the time to sign up to the Blue Mountains final leg of the series, being held on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th September this year.

Based from Euroka Clearing near Glenbrook, home to a multitude of kangaroos and other native wildlife, this event will take in the best trails, tracks and stunning views this World Heritage Listed area has to offer.

Featuring a purpose built single track section for the mountain bike legs, passing by the mesmerising layers of hand prints and stencils in one of the best examples of Aboriginal art in the Blue Mountains and paddling on the Nepean River, this is one event that will not disappoint!

With both Novice and Classic courses available on both days this year, it means you can choose to race on either day (or both days!). This event continues to attract adventure seekers while being a perfect launching point for new teams to tackle the Novice course and find out what Adventure Racing is all about.

Kayaks are provided in case you were wondering and you can hire a mountain bike if required. All you need is a team mate, a pair of shoes and a sense of adventure. It couldn’t be easier!

Secure your place in the final event in NSW for 2021.

Three Bridges Run

Sunday 31st October, 2021

Parramatta, NSW

It’s time to dust off your running shoes because Sydney’s spectacular Three Bridges Run is back on Sunday 31st October 2021.

We know you’re going to be super pumped for this one with the thrill of the finish line calling once again. Even better still is that this year we’ll be back to our regular capacity after last year’s COVID-safe event which means plenty more runners to test your speed against!

Back for its fourth year, the Three Bridges Run is popular with families and athletes alike, with distances for all fitness levels.

The 42.2km marathon was new to the race schedule last year and was a hit with those marathoners who just love going the distance. With the flat, fast course, it’ll be the perfect opportunity to chase your next PB. The marathon course completes two laps of the John Whitton Bridge, Bennelong Bridge and Silverwater Bridge loop.

The other 5km, 9km and 21.1km half marathon courses on offer meander along the Parramatta River, just 30 minutes west of Sydney CBD. Take in the sites of George Kendall Riverside Park, Rhodes Point, and Newington Nature Reserve, using the Parramatta Valley shared use path.

So what are you waiting for? Challenge yourself and sign up now for this Sydney marathon and run the river!

Convict 100 Race Report

Saturday 1st May, 2021

St Albans, NSW

Saturday 1st May saw over 1,200 mountain bikers hit the trails around the normally sleepy hamlet of St Albans for the long awaited 2021 edition of the iconic Convict 100. New tales of triumph and achievement were carved into the history of the event as riders enjoyed the slightly altered 103km, 74km and 44km courses.

Sandstone ridge lines, the infamous kayak bridge and the remnants of tracks originally carved out of the Australian bush by convicts many years ago were all conquered by the riders. All were bathed in glorious autumn sunshine as the normal quiet valley came alive for the event.

Congratulations to all the riders across all 3 distances, while the podium place getters enjoyed the benefit of some great prizes from event sponsors ThuleGround EffectFisiocrem and TwoUp Bike Co cracking times were set across all categories. While the fastest riders were finished the rest of the field were up in the hills chasing their own goals, fuelled by the Tailwind Nutrition Australia available on course.

If the goal was to set a PB, beating their riding buddies or simply too finish, all were challenged by the course and enjoyed the journey that is the Convict 100. The course is a trip into the unknown where the pain in the legs is dulled by the spectacular views and exciting riding.

As the morning passed and turned into the afternoon more and more happy riders streamed across the finish line, most heading straight to Settlers Arms Inn to claim their free ice cold finishers beer. Tales were told and new friends made as everyone you met shared the same passion, mountain biking!

We still have some of our sweet event t-shirts and jerseys available for sale, if you would like to grab one please email us HERE. Don’t hesitate, these won’t last long.

The Convict will be back in 2022 so note down Saturday 7th May 2022 in your diary and start planning your next assault on this classic and challenging course.
