Last Chance to Enter!

Max Adventure Race
Saturday 16th July 2022
Sunshine Coast, QLD

Time is running out to enter the last Max Adventure Race in Queensland for 2022. With race day less than two weeks away now is the time to act to secure your spot to come along and join in the fun. Proudly sponsored by Sunshine Coast Council this is one you don’t want to miss!

The flat and fast course offers the perfect base for those that are looking to go hard or for those just looking to complete their first Adventure Race, and everyone in between. The paddling (all equipment provided) is on calm, still waters, the mountain biking isn’t technical and is accessible by riders of all skill levels and the running/trekking is flat, no massive hills to climb here!

The location is deciptive however and offers a challenge to more experienced teams. The sheer number of trails in the area means route choice plays an important role in the overall winners, judging when to take one of the smaller trails compared to the main fire trails to access that elusive checkpoint is vital! Or you can simply stick to main trails and leave the bush bashing to the faster teams!

With both a longer Classic course and the Novice course especially designed for newcomers to the sport, there is a race distance to suit everyone. This year also sees the return of the Kids course for the younger adventurers out there! All you need is a pair of shoes, a mountain bike (or you can hire one), a team mate and a sense of adventure and you are good to go!

Located just off the Bruce Highway and easily accessible from Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, the Gold Coast and further beyond there is really no excuse. What are you waiting for? Get in now before entries close on Wednesday 13th July!

An Epic Two Wheel Adventure

Convict 100
Saturday 15th October 2022
St Albans, NSW

The grand old lady of Australian cross country mountain biking events is back on the 15th October for its 17th installment. After a false start due to the extreme rain earlier in the year riders are itching to get back out on the course in October. With three course options and the challenge of conquering the remote and rugged course awaiting the riders there is plenty on offer to entice veterans back to St Albans once again.

If you are a experienced campaigner or stepping up to the full 100km distance for the first time riding up Jacks Track will no doubt test the climbing legs but being able to fly down the Womerah Range will be the reward. The challenge of tackling the rock gardens and drop-offs along the Old Great North Road still lies in wait…a long, daunting, untamed stretch but oh so much fun.

The 68km “Half Century” is perfectly positioned for those riders looking for an exciting ride without the extra time in the saddle. Achievable for the casual rider but featuring enough single track riding to keep even the most regular of riders entertained. The 68km course still features the fun of the Old Great North Road where you ride along a track carved into the hillside by a cattle thief many moons ago.

If you are a novice mountain biker or take a very ‘laidback’ approach to your training you don’t have to miss out either. The 44km option is long enough to provide a challenge but avoids the most technical sections and only features one major climb so you don’t have any excuses not to come along and join in the fun. We even put the climb right near the start when your legs are at their best. You don’t miss out on views however, with stunning vistas across the MacDonald River Valley from Yengo ridge and that unique feeling of being on a ‘journey’ that is the hallmark of the Convict 100.

Entries are still available for all three course distances so now is the time to sign up, put some miles into your legs in preparation and get ready for a epic weekend adventure.
