Max Adventure Race Series

Saturday 4th June 2022
Royal National Park Sydney, NSW

Keen to try an adventure race this year?

Here’s the perfect opportunity to test the waters, kayaking, trail running and mountain biking in a team of two, at the next event in the 2022 Max Adventure Race Series.

The race is a real adventure as you navigate your way through the Royal National Park’s rich bushland and kayak the winding Hacking River. Whether you’re new to the sport of adventure racing and try the novice course or an experienced racer and take on the classic course, you are guaranteed to have a fun-filled day.

The course is a top favorite of the Max Adventure Race Series. The teams set off from Reids Flat into the National Park running past ancient eucalypts and lush forest, paddling down the Hacking River, and mountain biking through speedy single tracks that loop and bend and are great fun to ride. Competitors navigate (not necessarily in the above-mentioned order) to the finish line back at Reids Flat. Phew! What good fun!

We look forward to hosting an epic day.

Coastal Classic Entries Selling Fast

Saturday 3rd September, 2022
Royal National Park, Sydney NSW

Keen trail runners wishing to register for this years Coastal Classic – don’t delay, entries are already 50% SOLD OUT!

Don’t miss your chance to experience this popular trail run from Otford to Bundeena in Sydney, through the Royal National Park. With 30km of trail running along some of the most spectacular coastline in Australia, if not the world, it’s easy to see why this trail run is so popular.

Starting at Otford after a short climb the view appear, stretching South all the way to Wollongong and beyond, and this is only the start. The toughest part of the course is early on, the tracks through the Palm Jungle are narrow and runners need to watch their footing but you soon emerge out into the sunshine. Runners then are right alongside the ocean, skirting numerous beaches and inlets and passing through quiet hamlets of beach shacks. After the Aid Station at Garie Beach the views ramp up even more as runners head along the broad walk on the clifftops to Wattamolla Aid Station. Now is to time to up the speed and stretch out, across Marley Beach and the last two Aid Stations. The infamous Sandy Track awaits for the last couple of kilometres but the end is right there. A quick blast through Bundeena and the finish line hits. Sounds good doesn’t it?

Entries will sell out for this event so do not delay if you don’t want to miss out!

A Sunshine Coast Adventure Weekend Awaits!

Wild Horse Mountain, Sunshine Coast QLD
Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th July 2022

Proudly sponsored by Sunshine Coast Council, the next Queensland Max Adventure Race will take place at Wild Horse Mountain on the 16th and 17th of July 2022.

In 2022 the race will once again expand to include a multi-day event across the entire weekend on top of the normal one day of Adventure Racing action. Saturday will host Novice Course A and Classic Course A and Sunday will host a different route Novice Course B and Classic Course B. This means you can participate on either Saturday or Sunday, or if you’re really keen your can take on the multi-day option and race both days back-to-back!

We will also offer a kids course option on Sunday – so you can bring the whole family to this event!  The Kids Course will involve trail running and mountain biking (no kayaking) with some simple navigation. The course will be marked with arrows to help guide our young adventurers to the checkpoints – however keeping in the spirit of Adventure Racing some map reading is required. Parent/Guardians are encouraged to join their kids on the course to help. Teams of two to five kids, with an adult along for the fun if all participants are under 12 years of age.  More information about the kids course can be found HERE.

The flat and fast course sets the scene for some exciting racing, and no big hills to climb! Located just off the Bruce Highway the event is easily accessible for local racers or those from Brisbane and further south.

Why not book in for a weekend full of adventures in the stunning Sunshine Coast; stay in the hinterland or along the pristine beaches with your family and friends. There are heaps of activities and accommodation options in the area, check out some of the options HERE.
