Looking to add some adventure to your next corporate event?

Great Adventure Challenge NSW
Saturday 20th May 2023

The Great Adventure Challenge is a corporate fundraising Adventure Race. Teams of eight from different organisations will kayak, run and bike around the course, with a few mystery team challenges included to keep the race interesting. The 2023 location can now be revealed as the stunning Kangaroo Valley. It’s the perfect opportunity to get your work colleagues together, fundraise, get outdoors, build teamwork and experience a corporate team challenge like no other! If you think your work place would be up for entering a team, check out the link below or contact us for details.

The event is a direct fundraiser for Starlight Children’s Foundation so you will be raising funds to bring happiness to sick kids like Marley. You can’t ask for more inspiration than that.

There will be an info and navigation training session available prior the the event to help prepare teams for the challenges that they will face on race day. Teams who sign up early and reach fundraising targets will receive extra time bonuses before the race even begins!

“It was an amazing experience. The event really pushed us physically and mentally and helped the team bond as we navigated the challenges along the way. We were really proud of what we were able to achieve personally and for sick kids.” – Team member, Star Reachers

Event Wrap Up

Max Adventure Race
Saturday 26th November, 2022
Royal National Park, NSW

A stunning early summers day welcomed over 350 adventure racers to Sydney’s Royal National Park on Saturday. Keen racers of all ages were soon pouring over the map and plotting their course. Before long the start gun sounded and they were off and racing!!!

Teams were greeted with an exciting course, including exhilarating flowing single track mountain biking and a fast flatwater paddle on the upper reaches of the Port Hacking river. Congratulations to all that completed the event, a special shout out to our younger team members who continue to impress with their enthusiasm to complete the course.

Fastest team in the Classic Course was Belrose Bicycles (Chad and Ryan Armstrong) completing a rare sweep of 1st place at all the NSW legs of the Max Adventure Race series in 2022, congrats guys! The second Male team home was Dingos (Ryan Hardy & Timothy Hubbell) while I Thought This Was a Park Run (Andrew McLachlan & Bryce Hudson) were third.

In the Mixed category the experienced duo Alpine Quest (Maria Plyashechko & Sergey Kurov) were the winners (and 2nd overall), beating home TMC Costal Mountain Hybrid Fusion (Kirsty Lowe & Michael Vanos) and Canvanauts (Tessa Carnieie & Etienne Gautier).

Among the Female teams the mother and daughter team of Mad Mielke’s (Jody & Connor Mielke) were the first home in front of team Barnie (Marnie Prowse, Beth Bryce) in 2nd and Worst Pace Scenario (Jacqui Shakespeare, Ineke Jones) in 3rd.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped at the event, and to our event sponsors The Edge Adventure Store and Wilde Beer for your support.

We look forward to seeing a large number of teams back for the first Max Adventure Race in 2023 at Lake Macquarie in February.
