Max Adventure Race Series

Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th February, 2022
Lake Macquarie, NSW

Entries are closing soon for the Max Adventure Race at Lake Macquarie, NSW sponsored by Lake Macquarie City Council, on Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th February, 2022.

Short, fast, fun and suitable for anyone with a sense of adventure, the Max Adventure Races are designed to offer the perfect introduction to the exhilarating sport of adventure racing.

In 2022 the action heads back towards the mighty Pacific Ocean. And we all know what this means! Teams will get to experience the ever popular coasteering section of the course. Coasteering is travelling along (and sometimes through) the rock platforms, inlets and tidal pools right next to the crashing waves. This section will really add to the excitement level for all teams and see them asking themselves… ‘Am I brave enough to take on Shark Hole?’

In addition to the coasteering section, teams will have a number of mountain biking and trail running legs to complete with a scattering of ‘bonus’ checkpoints on offer for those faster teams. Kayaking on the calm waters of Lake Macquarie, and a shorter Novice course with less distance and less tricky navigation means there is something for all skill levels. We provide the kayaks and can even help you out with bike hire if you need it!

New for this year all participants will receive a Max Adventure Race finishers medal and thanks to Lake Macquarie City Council all event photos will be available to the teams for free as well! So now you have no excuse not to grab a team mate and sign up for a real weekend adventure and grab yourself some event bling at the same time!!

Jabulani Challenge

Saturday 2nd April 2022
Ku-Ring-Gai Chase NP, NSW

Entries for the Jabulani Challenge 2022 are filing fast! Set in the beautiful Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park and starting and finishing at the historical Bobbin Head, this is trail running at it’s best. The course snakes along some stunning waterways and while it does lack major hills don’t let that fool you – plenty of technical single track and some short sharp inclines are sure to challenge all runners. With event distances of 12km, 22km and 45km there is a distance to suit everyone. If you are currently planning your calendar for 2022 this is definitely an event to add – the 22km and 45km distances are ITRA registered!

The Jabulani Challenge is also the first leg of the Triple Trail Challenge, the ultimate trail running test. This involves entering the Triple Trail Challenge and completing the 45km or 22km Jabulani Challenge, the 36km Raffertys Coastal Run and the Coastal Classic all in one calendar year. Those runners that rise to the challenge and successfully complete all 3 events are rewarded with an exclusive Triple Trail Challenge Hoodie. All three events are held within a couple of hours drive of Sydney and feature some of the best trail running found in NSW. With only a few spots still available, don’t miss out, enter today!
